156 Galway students set to begin postponed Leaving Cert exams

Galway Bay fm newsroom - 156 students from across Galway will begin their postponed Leaving Certificate exams this evening.

It comes following the Government decision to introduce a calculated grading system earlier this year due to the challenges presented by the pandemic to students and teachers.

2,569 students nationwide have opted to still take the standard State written exam this year with biology the first subject to be tested at 5.30pm.

Examinations will take place with one test on weekday evenings and two examination sessions at weekends.

Leaving Certificate exams will conclude on Friday December 11th with results expected in early February.
