20 million euro investment by SIRO in Galway broadband network

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A 20 million euro investment in gigabit broadband is being launched in Galway.

Minister of State for the Gaeltacht Seán Kyne is launching the new SIRO (S-eye-ro)rollout today.

The network build will involve SIRO points of Interconnect in Galway, Oranmore and Moneenageisha to cover 30 clusters through fibre-optic lines.

SIRO hopes to reach 30 thousand homes and businesses in Galway with the service already going live in Oranmore last week.
