Over €80,000 has been allocated to 4 farm health, safety, and wellbeing projects in Galway.
€52,664 will go to FORUM Connemara CLG for their Farm Health, Safety and Skills training programme.
Mountbellew Agricultural College received €28,300 for 3 projects: Tractor safety for children, farm safety and supporting older farmers.
Nationally, 46 projects were awarded a total of €1.18 million, with over €250,000 going to the IFAs Farmer health checks programme.
The funding, which was announced by the Minister for Agriculture, Martin Heydon, was delivered after an open call for applications earlier this year.
