Start-ups in the West of Ireland recieved 3.8 million euros in pre-seed and seed investment in 2025

The business innovation centre in the west recieved the funding to support start ups in accessing funding, mentorship and specialised resources

WestBIC covers Galway, Donegal, Leitrim, Longford, Mayo, Roscommon, Sligo and Westmeath.

Irish BICs will also lead the first ever Accelerate Hub, which aims to connect start ups with a network of advisors, mentors and service providers.

Nationally, start-ups supported by BICs received €34 million in total funding last year.
