Initiative to protect Mountbellew and Ballygar river catchments

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Residents of the Mountbellew and Ballygar river catchments are being encouraged to get involved in a campaign which aims to protect the future of local rivers.

The catchment area including the Castlegar, Shiven, Killian and Suck rivers is one of 190 areas nationally prioritised for action to protect and restore water.

A community information meeting will take place this Tuesday evening (01/10) at 7.30pm in the Malthouse, Mountbellew.
