Galway Bay fm newsroom - Gardaí in Loughrea are seeking witnesses after a man died following a crash in the town.
The single vehicle incident happened around 8am yesterday at Barrack Street in the town.
The 77 year old driver, who's from the Loughrea area, was taken to Portiuncula Hospital after his car hit a steel barrier.
Passers-by performed CPR on the man, but he later died in hospital.
