Bank of Ireland Eyre Square closed due to rainfall water damage

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Bank of Ireland in Eyre Square is closed today due to water damage caused by severe rainfall overnight.

Lodgement and withdrawal services are still available in the entrance lobby, but the building itself will remain closed until a full assessment of the damage has been completed.

Customers are advised that alternative branches in Mervue, NUIG, and Salthill are operating as normal.

Meanwhile several businesses along Shop Street and Flood Street have reopened following minor flooding in the area overnight.
