Businesses worried over lack of clarity over outdoor dining in Woodquay

Businesses in Woodquay are worried over a lack of clarity on potential outdoor dining this year.

It comes as outdoor dining is now in place in the citys westend until September - which sees key roads closed in the evening time.

Restaurants in Woodquay were granted permission for outdoor dining in 2023, but were refused last year.

They're asking they be allowed to put tables and chairs outdoors for the months of July and August.

Councillor Josie Forde accepts there are valid safety concerns, but it would be a boost to the businesses.
