A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions after a considerable quantity of drugs were seized in the city.
More than €40 thousand euro worth of drugs were discovered in Mervue in recent days.
Last Wednesday, as part of an operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs, Gardaí raided a home in the area.
During the search, officers from the Galway Divisional Drugs Unit discovered cannabis with an estimated street value of €43 thousand.

Also seized was an unspecified quantity of cocaine as well as drug equipment.
A man in his 40's was arrested and detained at a Garda station in the region, but he's since been released without charge.
A file is now being prepared for the DPP and Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
