Garda patrols and CCTV are needed at the Leisure Centre and the Palace Grounds in Tuam, according to local councillors.
The area has come under a microscope recently, after a recentl council meeting heard that the new sensory garden in the area had been damaged.
Meanwhile, local Councillor Siobhán McHugh Ryan says constant littering is becoming a major issue near the leisure centre.
The Fine Gael Councillor says the CCTV in place needs to be switched on as a matter of urgency
