A local councillor is calling for a designated bus lane along the N59 between Moycullen and Galway city.
Independent Ireland councillor Noel Thomas says it would make public transport a more attractive option for people in the area.
A transport plan is currently being worked on for the village, with hopes that will be published in the coming weeks and subsequently go to public consultation.
Councillor Thomas feels there is a particular section of the road which is wide enough to host the lane
