Call for new link road to Presentation College Athenry to be opened

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway East TD is calling on the county council and the IDA to open the new link road to Presentation College Athenry.

Minister of State Sean Canney says despite the new school being opened in March, the link road - which runs through IDA lands - has remained closed.

He says there are over 1000 students as well as staff going to and from the school at the same time every morning and evening - causing a huge amount of congestion in the area. To hear more on this story tune in to Galway Bay fm news on the hour...
