Call for urgent expansion of Westdoc service to Ballinasloe

GBFM Newsroom - There's a call for urgent funding to allow the expansion of Westdoc Out of Hours service into the Ballinasloe area.

It follows a meeting between local GP's and public representatives this week to discuss challenges facing the local GP network.

Local senator Aisling Dolan says requests have been submitted to the HSE in recent years but no funding has been forthcoming.

Speaking to Galway Talks, she said local GPs are really struggling with the ongoing crisis.
