Galway Bay fm newsroom- Children in Tuam with eyesight issues are "suffering" due to a lack of services in the area.

That's according to Local TD Sean Canney, who says the HSE has confirmed there have been serious issues in providing ophtalmology services at Tuam Primary Care Centre.

It acknowledges there's still no Consultant Ophthalmologist in place, though the position has been approved and a recruitment process in underway.
