Community health specialists in Galway to begin remote consultations online

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Community healthcare specialists in Galway are to be given access to software that will enable them to conduct virtual consultations with patients.

Physios, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists have been unable to hold face to face consultations with patients due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Galway West Fine Gael TD Hildegarde Naughton says this has resulted in many clients with degenerative conditions or children requiring early intervention being left without the required care and support.

The 'Attend Anywhere' software will allow these vulnerable patients to access their treatment online.
