Council to launch fire awareness campaign for halting sites

Galway County Council is this morning launching a fire safety awareness campaign for those living in caravans and mobile homes on halting sites. (8/6)

The campaign is led by the Council's Traveller Accommodation Unit and supported through the Dormant Accounts Fund.

It centres on a newly commissioned fire safety video produced in partnership with Galway Fire Service.

It discusses prevention, awareness and emergency response, with a particular focus on risks in caravans and mobile homes.
