University of Galway students recognised as young innovators

University of Galway students are being recognised for their innovative start-ups.

Start With Us Incubator Awards aims to encourage students to turn ideas into solutions.

The programme supports students through two pathways, Start 100 for commercial Innovation and SoStart for social innovation.

Katie Browne received the 'Start100 Commercial Innovation Award' for her matcha-based drink that provides a natural alternative to caffeine.

Caoimhe Ní Dhochartaigh was awarded the 'So Start Innovation Award' for a social enterprise supporting adolescent mental health through circus-based programmes.

The 'WestBIC One to Watch Award' was received by (TAH-NOO-SHREE) Tanushree Yadav, Reena Babu and (KEY-SURE SHUR-SUT) Kishor Shirsat for 'DripIQ', a low-cost clip-on device that improves IV flow accuracy and detects empy IV bags.
