Craughwell to Oranmore road closed for forensic exam after serious collision

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A man is in a serious condition in hospital this morning (29/8) following a collision near Oranmore last evening.

The collision between a car and a motorbike happened on the R446 between Oranmore and Craughwell just after 5pm yesterday.

Emergency services including Galway Fire Brigade and ambulance crew attended the scene.

The man was rushed to University Hospital Galway where his condition is described as 'serious'.

Gardaí are advising motorists that the R446 between Craughwell and Oranmore is closed pending a forensic collision investigation.

Diversions are in place via Clarinbridge.
