Drew Harris facing tough questions on local policing at city meeting this morning

Galway Bay FM newsroom - Garda Commissioner Drew Harris will face tough questions in the city this morning as he attends a meeting to discuss local policing matters.

He's attending a meeting of the County Joint Policing Committee at County Hall.

Topics to be raised today include a new policing model for Galway, as well as an alleged lack of Garda presence in rural areas.

Speaking to Galway Talks, JPC Chair Councillor Jim Cuddy said there's significant concern over incoming plans to administer the Connemara region from Oranmore.
