5.7 million euro in funding has been announced for a project, which a Galway space tech company is involved in.
MBRYONICS, based in Dangan, is a world leader in photonic satellite communications hardware, software and technology and provides photonics design and fabrication as a service.
The funding will support the development of a satellite ground station, providing the critical infrastructure necessary to protect highly sensitive communications from future threats.
Mbryonics and South East Technological University are working along teams from Germany, Luxembourg and Greece on the project.
