Education Minister confirms building extension at Presentation College Headford

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Education Minister Joe McHugh has confirmed Presentation College Headford will get a major new extension to meet growing pupil numbers.

The school, which has experienced an increase in pupils numbers year on year, now accommodates over 800 students.

To date a number of prefabricated buildings have been used in lieu of permanent classrooms but these are no longer considered fit for purpose.

Minister McHugh confirmed to East Galway Minister of State Ciaran Cannon this week that the Headford project would go ahead.

Minister Cannon says progress is being made by the board of management at Headford Presentation.
