Galway Bay FM Newsroom - Gardai and Emergency Services were called to a house fire in Ballyconneely. Near Clifden this morning.

It is understood that they were alerted at 7.30 this morning.

Gardai have confirmed that there was no one in the house at the time which has sustained severe damage as a result of the fire.

The scene has been preserved for an examination and investigations are ongoing.
