Female Pedestrian Injured In Galway City

A female pedestrian has been taken to hospital following a collision in the west of Galway city earlier this morning.

The woman was struck by a car at a pedestrian crossing near the entrance to the Gateway Shopping Centre on the Western Distributor Road.

Salthill Gardai attended the scene and the woman was brought to hospital where she is being treated for non life threatening injuries.
