Final list of 17 candidates contesting Galway West by-election

The names for the ballot paper for the Galway West by-election taking place this day three weeks have been finalised

17 names were submitted to Returning Officer Marian Chambers Higgins by the deadline of noon today

Non-party - Michael Ryan, 317 Corrib Park, Newcastle, Student

Non-party - Tom Welby, Cregg, Oughterard, Public Representative

Voting in the Galway West by-election to fill the seat left vacant by now President Catherine Connolly will take place on Friday May 22nd between 7am and 10pm
