A final report on the options available for the Clifden Flood Relief Scheme has been completed.
Galway County Council and the Office of Public Works are now reviewing proposals for a scheme which would help protect around 24 properties in Clifden
Galway West TD John Connolly has also received confirmation that further meetings will take place shortly, and then the project will move towards the planning stage.
Deputy Connolly says local residents have been waiting far too long and the process needs to move quickly from here.
