Five presidential candidates hopefuls to pitch to Galway City Council later this afternoon.
However the list doesn't include businessman Gareth Shieridan who today received a nomination from Kerry County Council.
He needs the backing of three more local authorities to be eligible to contest the presidency.
The five names going before City Councillors are:
Nick Delahanty
Thomas Kelly
Joseph Chikelue Obi
Lucy-Anne O'Leary
and
Gerben Uunk
Meanwhile, it'll be the turn of County Councillors to host presidential hopefuls at a special meeting tomorrow morning.
Earlier today former MMA fighter Conor McGregor pulled out of the campaign, on the day he was due to address Kildare and Dublin City councils.
He told his followers on X he'll be canvassing again in the future.
