Former President Michael D. Higgins will next week headline a public conversation in Galway city on Climate, Culture, and Hope.
The free event will form part of the Galway Climate Inspirations Festival and will take place on Sunday week June 28th at 3.30pm in the Festival Tent at Father Burke Park.
Michael D. Higgins will be joined by author and social innovator Ruairí McKiernan, CEO of IDEA, for a conversation on imagination, global citizenship, and the role of creativity and civic partnership in shaping a more sustainable and just world.
The event will also feature a special performance from acclaimed Galway-based musician Áine Tyrell and youth poet Princess Mimi Chukwudi.
The Galway Climate Inspirations Festival takes place from June 24-28 at Fr. Burke Park, the Museum and Eyre Square, showcasing 30 events.
