Funding approval for Minor Flood Mitigation and Coastal Protection for housing estate in Carna

Funding approval has been given for Minor Flood Mitigation Works and Coastal Protection for a housing estate in Carna in Connemara.

The OPW has approved funding of just over €33,000 for a more detailed survey of the surface water pipe network within the Bruach na Mara Estate.

This survey will include the use of jetting, suctioning and recording equipment.

Minister Kevin Boxer Moran says the survey results will determine the extent of rehabilitation works required on the surface water network.
