Galway businessman sells global brand for 150 million euro

Galway Bay fm newsroom - A Galway-based entrepreneur has sold the world-renowned Viviscal hair restoration brand for around 150 million euro.

Athenry native accountant James Murphy has sold the brand, which has been endorsed by a variety of international celebrities, to the owner of Arm & Hammer toothpaste.

Mr Murphy attended St Jarlath's College in Tuam and received a Bachelors degree in Commerce from NUI Galway before establishing beauty products group Lifes2Good.

The buyer - US giant Church & Dwight - is preparing to announce the deal next month.
