Galway Mountain Rescue Team will this weekend celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special event at the Clayton Hotel in Ballybrit
It will bring together current and past team members to mark five decades of dedicated voluntary service.
Since its establishment in 1975, the team has played a critical role in emergency response across the west of Ireland, assisting those who are lost, injured, or in difficulty in remote and mountainous terrain.
Galway Mountain Rescue Team is entirely volunteer based and relies on public donations to fund training, equipment, and operations.
