Some of Galway’s most talented young singers have been selected as members of the prestigious Irish Youth Choir, run by Sing Ireland.
18 year-old Alexandria Wilson from Abbeyknockmoy, 19 year-old Sadhbh Mechan from Portumna, and 21-year-old Nicole Hargaden from Galway City have been selected for the 18- to 25-year-olds.
Meanwhile, Ruán Moore, from Athenry, and Annie Finegan, from Tuam have been selected for the 14- to 17-year-olds ensemble.
Both choirs have participated in a summer residential programme which includes public performances for the senior group at the Irish Chamber Orchestra Hall in Limerick today and in Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin tomorrow.
The junior group performed at the same two venues earlier this month.
