It will work across all disciplines from life science to business and law, from engineering to the natural sciences.

The Institute will also be home to the University's 'Arts in Action' programme, which welcomes students and staff, and visitors from outside the university to engage with a broad and varied programme of artistic events.

The launch event will take place at Bailey Allen Hall and it will be followed by a performance at 8pm in the O'Donoghue Theatre from leading Irish-language artists from all of the major Gaeltacht areas.
