From Newcastle and Inis Oírr to Sydney and Nebraska - these are just some of the places people have travelled from to take in Galway International Arts Festival.
It opened on Monday, and by the end of the two-week festival, close to half a million people are expected to attend events spanning theatre, music, circus and more.
Along with ticketed events, there's also plenty of free things to enjoy, such as the Festival Gallery and the ever-popular street spectacle - this year it's 'The Whale Street'.
