Galway Bay fm newsroom - The Health and Safety Authority has been notified following a fatal workplace accident in Athenry.

The incident occurred at approximately 2.30 yesterday afternoon.

A man in his late 30s was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was removed to UHG.

Gardai and emergency services attended the scene.

The HSA has been notified.
