Independent Ireland says it is to focus on urban areas such as Galway city to grow its local authority seats

During his visit to Galway today, as part of a nationwide tour, leader Deputy Michael Collins says it's time to focus on urban as well as rural issues

The party has six councillors in Galway, all serving on the County Council

Deputy Collins acknowledged to John Morley that this will be a challenge given the perception of the party as very much rural
