Night-time restrictions are now in place for the Kinvara public water supply in order to protect daytime supply.
The restrictions will be in effect between 8pm and 8am and will remain in place until further notice.
Uisce Éireann says these measures are necessary in order to maintain a continuous daytime supply of treated water for homes, businesses and essential services in Kinvara and the surrounding areas.
The ongoing dry spell, coupled with heightened demand on the network, has placed the capacity of the town’s water treatment plant under severe strain.
