Ireland's beef exports safe following discovery of BSE in Galway

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Ireland's beef export status remains unchanged following the confirmation of a BSE case in the county.

An 18-year-old cow at an unidentified location died from the disease, according to tests carried out over the weekend.

The Department of Agriculture says there's no risk to public health.

The strain found is reportedly atypical – which means it occurred spontaneously.
