A local TD has used the Dáil to urge Government to listen to, and support, the 'Before We Die' campaign.
'Before We Die' is a family-led campaign fighting for the rights of adults with intellectual disabilities.
They want Government to deliver dedicated community housing, so that they don't have to worry about what happens their children when they can no longer take care of them.
At present, over 2,300 adults with intellectual disabilities live with parents aged 70 or older - including more than 100 in Galway.
