Three crew from the Galway RNLI have been recognised with long service awards at a national RNLI event.
Shane Folan received a medal for 30 years service since 1995 - he started off as lifeboat crew, progressed to helm and now holds the role of launch authority.

David Oliver was awarded the same medal for 30 years service - first as lifeboat crew and then helm since 2001.

Meanwhile, Martin Oliver received a medal for 20 years service - starting off as lifeboat crew in 2005 and moving to helm in 2015.
The RNLI event in Clontarf recognised volunteers who had 20, 30, 40 and even 50 years of service.
