Several junctions in the Loughrea and Portumna areas have come under microscope, with concerns over safety being raised.
Councillor Moegie Maher pointed out that a recent road traffic incident occurred at Gortymadden cross, saying it was amazing no one was seriously hurt.
The local authority says they will look into more markings and signage, and councillors were united in their calls for safety ramps or other similar measures to be installed.
Other junctions mentioned include Kilmeen Cross and Kilreekil, and Councillor Moegie Maher says the incident at Gortymadden could have been worse
