Man who died following Loughrea crash named locally

Galway Bay fm newsroom - The man who died following a crash in Loughrea town yesterday has been named locally.

Mark Madden, from Westbridge Loughrea, died after the single vehicle incident which happened at Barrack Street in the town at 8 yesterday morning.

The 77 year old was taken to Portiuncula Hospital after his car hit a steel barrier.

He later died in hospital.

Gardaí in Loughrea are appealing for witnesses to contact them at 091 842870.
