Galway Bay FM Newsroom - Met Éireann has issued a weather warning for the city and county ahead of strong winds expected this afternoon.
The status yellow warning for wind comes into effect at 3.00pm and will be lifted at 6.00pm.
Met Éireann says there will be strong and gusty southwest winds, with gusts of over 90km/h in Galway, Mayo and Leitrim.
