There's been a baby boom at the Burren Nature Sanctuary in Kinvara - with the arrival of 13 new mini piglets.
It's the result of a partnership between the award-winning sanctuary and UK-based Kew Little Pigs Farm.
The original breeding pigs introduced to Kinvara are Freya, Apollo and Jupiter and they were the first pigs to legally cross into Ireland from the UK after Brexit.
The focus at the Kinvara sanctuary is on ethical pig-breeding and responsible ownership, and to demonstrate how mini pigs are intelligent and affectionate pets.
Further information on the pigs and opportunities to visit the sanctuary are available at BurrenNatureSanctuary.ie.
David Nevin has been to Kinvara today to meet with owner Mary Bermingham and visit the pigs.
