Minister for Higher Education James Lawless is to launch a new exhibition in Carna this evening that celebrates the culture and heritage of Iorras Aithneach. (30/4)
It represents research by University of Galway's Acadamh na hOllscolaíochta Gaeilge, and highlights the contributions of local tradition bearers in sean-Nós singing, musice, poetry and story-telling.
It'll be launched at Áras na hOllscoile in Carna at 5.30pm.
Earlier today, Minister Lawless also visited Mountbellew, Athenry, and the University of Galway campus in Galway City.
