National Peatland Excellence Centre to be established at University of Galway

The University of Galway has announced plans to establish a National Peatland Centre of Excellence.

The centre will focus on national and global challenges surrounding peatlands, decarbonisation and biodiversity loss.

It follows the success of the Peatland Futures event of the university, focusing on the future of peatland innovation in Ireland.

Professor Terry Morley is the Assistant Professor and organiser of the Peatlands Futures event
