NTA suggests Corrib railway crossing cost would hamper other city projects

The NTA has suggested the cost of the River Corrib railway crossing could hamper or prevent other city projects.

The pedestrian and cycle bridge between Woodquay and Dangan was allocated €5.5 million from the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund.

The remainder of the funding was expected from the National Transport Authority, but it was revealed last month that was no longer the case.

Galway West Fianna Fáil TD John Connolly put the query to Hugh Creegan, acting CEO of the NTA, at a recent Oireachtas committee
