Overcrowding continues to keep pressure on at UHG

Galway Bay fm newsroom - Pressure is continuing at the Emergency Department of University Hospital Galway today.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, there are 56 people waiting in trolleys and along wards.

It's the second worst affected hospital in the country today, following University Hospital Limerick which has 60 people on trolleys.

There are a further 16 people awaiting a bed at Portiuncula Hospital Ballinasloe on trolleys and along wards.
