Planning application submitted for underground cabling works in Athenry

A planning application is to be submitted to Galway County Council for underground cabling works in Athenry.

The planned undergrounding of services aims enhance the visual space in the town by removing overhead cables.

It follows similar works in Dunmore, Headford and Tuam under the Town and Village Renewal Scheme.
