Plans for a paddle sports facility in Loughrea have been refused.
The project would have been based on a site around 1km east of the town, adjoining the existing Loughrea Driving Range.
Led by LGR Concepts, the facility would include 2 paddle courts, as well as a reception area.
But county planners have now refused permission - due to concerns around the suitability of the local road network to carry extra traffic.
