Plans lodged for extension to Leenane Hotel in Connemara

Galway Bay FM Newsroom - Plans have been lodged to build an extension at Leenane Hotel in Connemara.

The plans led by Connemara Hotels Ltd would involve the construction of 12 new bedrooms.

The original building was first established as a coaching inn overlooking Killary Harbour, with records dating back to the 1790's.

A decision on the proposed expansion is due from county planners in September.
